Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens Review

The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM is a lens with superb hybrid image stabilization feature. The IS system perfectly handles tilt and pan, but it doesn’t seem to fully compensate object movement and distance changes. It has very thin depth of focus, which requires users to be really careful with distance changes when at macro distance settings. The USM feature allows for accurate, quiet and fast autofocus performance. Unfortunately, the silent autofocus operation is negated by the slightly noisy IS. The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM brings superb image quality as macro lenses offer the sharpest results among prime lenses.
