Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens Review

Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens

At less than $200, the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III comes with plenty of compromises. The lack of USM feature makes autofocus performance relatively slow.  The lens only allows up to f/5.6 aperture at 300mm zoom range and fast action shots require very slow shutter speed at this setting.

Users may also find it difficult to hold the camera steady with this lens attached due to size and weight combinations. In high contrast lighting situation like under broad daylight, chromatic aberrations can be quite significant. The above drawbacks may severely limit usability, but the telephone zoom feature is excellent for capturing the nature and wildlife.
