Fujinon XF 18mm f/2 R Review

At only 116 grams, the Fujinon XF 18mm f/2 R is very light weight, but still feels really solidly put together. The perfect combination of high quality plastics and metal makes the lens barrel looks properly constructed. At closest focus, the lens extends only by a couple of millimeters, which most photographers would consider as manageable.

Overall, the Fujinon XF 18mm f/2 R is everything we would come to expect from a prime lens priced at around £550. Optically, the lens is able to deliver exception clarity, although the sharpness levels drop off and chromatic fringing appears noticeably on the frame edges. Even with these imperfections, the lens is still a pleasure to use.
