Samsung 45mm f/1.8 2D/3D Review

The Samsung 45mm f/1.8 is a hybrid 2D/3D lens designed specifically for NX cameras. In 2D mode, the lens has f/1.8 maximum aperture for shallow depth of field and low light shooting capability. When paired with the Samsung NX300, it is possible for users to snap 3D images and videos easily.

The special shutter inside the lens can create two slightly different photograph of a scene through the 20.3Mp sensor of the NX300. The built-in DriMe IV engine renders the raw data to produce content suitable for 3D TVs and other compatible viewing devices. The maximum aperture in 3D mode is f/3.5.
