The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR telephoto zoom lens is an update to the earlier AF 80-400mm telephoto lens. The new lens offers more robust optical construction while the integrated Vibration Reduction system improves the autofocus mechanism greatly.
Crafted for high-resolution, high-performance DSLRs in mind, the lens is designed to deliver excellent results in varying conditions. Made from ED glass, the new lens can correct optical color issues at longer focal lengths and specific chromatic aberrations. Designated specifically for professionals, the lens has a suggested retail price tag of $2,700 in the United States and £2,500 / €3,000 in Europe.
