Some users may find the lens inappropriate as it extends when zooming and shows noticeably worse picture quality in low-light situations. Nevertheless, its speed is terrific and the optical quality is more than acceptable when ample light is present. The Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 is a great lens when you are on a budget and want to learn basic parameters, such as ISO settings, white balances, shutter speeds, aperture and others.

Guys, if you own a Guys, if you own a 7D then you may want a 30MM from Sigma it’s only $479 and it’s fast and is really a 48mm cause you are iputntg it on a 7D. 50mm may be too much if you already have a zoom lens.I own a Canon 7D which I use mainly for video and was looking to invest in a great normal’ lens.
