Voigtlander Ultra Wide-Heliar 12 mm F/5.6 Review
The Voigtlander Ultra Wide-Heliar 12 mm F/5.6 is a lens that’s capable of capturing focused objects as close as 0.5 meter. Its 67mm lens offers improved control while providing some protection against scratches, moisture and dust. The 1:5.6 aperture ratio is useful for brightening up the pictures taken in low-light situations.
The lens has 121 degrees of wide angle capability, which allow photographers to take a large area easily. Objects taken look very sharp, but users may notice some diffraction issues. The build quality is decent and definitely better than many plasticky SLR lenses in the market.
It should be noted that special adapter is needed for filters and to achieve even illumination, high quality center ND filter is required.
