Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II PZD Review
This is lens a with a number of attractive features including compact size, reduced weight and faster autofocus thanks to the quiet Piezo Drive motor. It also has one of the longest focal ranges in the market, although not as long as those 18-300mm super zoom lens models.
As expected, the lens offers integrated optical image stabilization feature via the Vibration Control technology. This allows sharper images at slow shutter speed, even without tripod.
Color aberrations should be manageable at medium focal lengths, but look more pronounced at 270mm. Unfortunately, CAs is correctable using computer software and most Nikon DSLR camera models already include software-based CAs elimination capability.
