The Tamron 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC NEX is a direct competitor to Sony’s NEX lenses, also with the same focal length range. At about 460 grams, the lens is significantly lighter than Sony’s model. The zoom ring has adequate resistance to prevent zoom creep, but the focusing ring still moves quite smoothly.

Its metal mount contributes to the well-constructed feel. Although cheaper and more compact than Sony NEX lenses, the Tamron 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC NEX still offers impressive image quality. However, users should be aware of slight chromatic aberrations that may appear when shooting scenes with high contrasts.
